el poeta austral or just the traveling eye… i am not for love

love is getting worse, impossible, with my time ticking away. people think that one must love and they hope for you to “fall” in love. i believe i am lucky not to love. it gives me a different look at the world and saves me from many troubles. so i do not need to be a poet, neither with words nor with light. it is quite sufficient for me to be a voice, an eye, someone transmitting his opinion, without being an artist. the cruel (or sometimes beautiful) stories of life are quite sufficient to me. poetry i do not understand and religion is for the addicted masses. addicted to a lull, a smokescreen for their problems, their responsabilities and the often tough reality. traveling, serving, functioning. justice is important to me, working for the less fortunate, working well. without illusions, without pink glasses, just working, putting weight on the “good” side of the scale. even if sisyphus is smiling, i shall continue this elected duty with dedication, devotion. freedom to live and learn, know, share and move on is quite enough for me, together with the work of helping some of those most in need. i do not need any bad concience anymore, no more feelings of being incomplete because i do not share this drug of love. i have other addictions that work well for me! be free, be just, live and let live, my friend.

You’r not the poeta austral… the poeta austral lives in argentina and is someone who really writes poetry.
And the thing about you and your “love” problem is no about women or couples, you are actually a lover, a lover of human being, and the thing you call “working for the less fortunate” is your way to love, and is most valuable that love a couple.

    Hugs.

Yes, love is expensive, but it’s the pinnacle of what life has to offer. It is well worth the vulnerability of potential “troubles.” Dare to give and receive love.

  • Filadelfia – Villamontes (Bolivia) 10 2008f November 2008
After a night in Menonite Filadelfia in the North of Paraguay (“Chaco”) y was ready to continue. It might be interesting to document the interaction of the Menonites with the indigenous groups, but this time it was just tourism. And there isn’t much to see, the Menonites here aren’t looking traditional, they are rather modern [...]

  • Asuncion – Filadelfia (Chaco) 10 2008f November 2008

The small against the tall, animated by the presidency of Lugo, announcing change to Paraguay… Some 1500 peasants from the provinces have arrived in Asuncion, Paraguay, to demonstrate for Agrarian reform, resdistribution of land from the “latifundistas” towards the “sin tierras”, for a tax on soy, renunciation of the fiscal gene […]

  • São Miguel das Missões – Foz de Iguazu 4 2008f November 2008
A long and rainy drive through interesting countryside took me to Foz de Iguazu, where the famous, massive Iguazu waterfalls are. I checked them out (even though “only” from the Brazilian side) and also visted the Itaipu Binational dam, the biggest and most productive hidroelectric plant in the world (even when the Chines one is [...]

  • Guaraní Aldeia Keo Ju 30 2008f October 2008
When I visited São Miguel das Missões I went to visit the ruins, the dead rocks. And that’s what I found, even if some say that some special vibes can be felt around them… When I read up I found out that there is an Aldeia (community / reserve) of the Guaraní close by. I [...]

Impressive place, strong energy. Have been here for two nights so far (48h of partially torrential rain) but will stay on for a few days more. Please see separate post on my stay of 2 1/2 days with the indigenous Guaraní at their Aldeia 45 minutes from São Miguel das Missões. Here a link for the [...]
