A long and rainy drive through interesting countryside took me to Foz de Iguazu, where the famous, massive Iguazu waterfalls are. I checked them out (even though “only” from the Brazilian side) and also visted the Itaipu Binational dam, the biggest and most productive hidroelectric plant in the world (even when the Chines one is finished, Itaipu will still lead in terms of production). I stayed at the Youth Hostel, which is quite “luxurious” in Foz. The waterfall is huge, amazing, etc. etc. Worth seeing, but I would not pay an airline ticket to do so. Somehow, I am more interested in people at the moment, or then places which are less visited.
